The university is easily accessible via public transport with rail and bus connections as well as a nearby international airport.
Birmingham Airport (BHX) is approximately 8 miles from The University of Birmingham and is easily reached by rail, via New Street Station. More information can be found here.
University Station is located on campus, the only UK University to have it’s own station. From Birmingham New Street Station, it takes 7 minutes to reach the University. Further railway information can be found on on the National Rail website.
There are many bus routes that directly serve the University and also provide connections to the City Centre. Further information can be found on the National Express website.
Although we encourage using public transport where necessary, we understand this may not be possible for everyone. There are three locations on campus where you can park. Visitor charges, paid via cash or RinGo, are £7 per day.
