In 2017, 1 in 10 children aged 16 and under were victims of crime. The ‘Are You A Good Eyewitness’ project, led by Psychology’s Dr Melissa Colloff, Dr Heather Flowe and Ms Danielle Hett, recruited undergraduate and postgraduate students to create and deliver public engagement activity at Birmingham’s ThinkTank Museum, aiming to increase understanding about eyewitness memory. The project has been so successful it’s been granted Alumni Impact Fund funding for 2 consecutive years and has even been awarded the University’s first ever Light of Understanding Award, an institutional award for Excellence in Public Engagement, which will enable the team to bring the project to
under served Schools in Birmingham.
